Mountain Trails

In January, Bekk and I were invited to go and preach at a camp way out north at a place called Mountain Trails. We were to do the Tuesday evening and the Wednesday morning sessions and so we headed out straight after work on the Tuesday and made our way over the Brindabella Mountains and eventually arrived.
I preached in the evening and then we headed back home only to do the trip out there again in the morning.

Whilst Bekk was talking to the kids though, Caleb and I were taken for a tour around the place by Ivan. Caleb couldn't believe his luck when he was shown the massive trampoline to play on! and Caleb got to meet some of the residents...
Caleb was at first a bit nervous with the tiny 2 day old chick but after realising that it would not bite his finger off he loved playing with the little guy.
"We got a goat too! His name is Billy."
This goat was a heap friendlier that Billy at Waterfall Drive was and Caleb had no problems petting this guy.

First Day of PreShool

Today was the big day... Caleb started preschool at Gowrie this morning.

He was all smiles last night telling us about all the fun stuff he was going to do and even getting ready he was ok....

... but when leaving the house the nerves started and he got a little worried....

... "Will you leave me there all day Mum?"

And so he went and had a great time making a stack of new friends and eating lots of watermelon. Let's just hope tomorrow goes well too!

Caleb's first bike

Caleb's big present for Christmas 2009 was his first bike!

Complete with his Transformers helmet, Caleb was soon getting the hang of riding and did lap after lap of the deck.

Soon though the helmet was gone and he was flying around feeling the wind in his hair!

Christmas 2009

Finally a month and a bit after the event we finally have our pictures from Christmas downloaded and ready to share!

It was a ridiculously busy time for us again. First up we moved house on Christmas Eve from Jerra to Wanniassa. The Cathie's invited us over for a Christmas Eve dinner and we had a wonderful time! Abel and David also joined us. After a great BBQ dinner we watched the carols concert and then topped the evening off with the gingerbread house that Pat and Virginia made and Bex renowned berry pavlova!

We woke tired and stiff on Christmas Day to find it cool and rainy! Out first decent rain in months! Caleb was quickly up and rummaging through his stocking... and then it was pressie time! Once the discarded wrapping paper was thrown in the bin it was straight to the Christmas morning service at church and then in the car heading down to the B & B for a couple of days.

We arrived just in time for Christmas lunch and what a feast we had! Great food, wet and gloomy weather outside, good company...what more can you ask for?!

The second pressie-time for the day came after lunch and it was a mighty freeforall with Caleb and his 2nd cousin Ellie Grace plowing their way through the mountains of gifts! Early to bed after two massive days and a very comfortable sleep! Good times!

The newest adition

Obviously the biggest highlight for us in 2009 was finding out that we were going to be parents again! Then last month we found out that is was another little boy that we would be adding to our family...
The little guy is an absolute cutie and should be joining us around the 31 March - about a week after Caleb's 4th birthday.
We went for the 4D scan in January and were blown away to see that he already looks a lot like his older brother. Caleb is really looking forward to being an older brother. He often cuddles and talks to Bex tummy...once however the little guy got his own back by kicking Caleb in the nose. The first of many altercations?!
But the two brothers should have years of playing and growing up together ahead of them!
